According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue over Northeast India and adjoining Sub Himalayan West Bengal during the next two days. Meanwhile, there was heavy rain in Bihar on Saturday, but now it is likely to decrease.

According to IMD, the western end of the monsoon trough continues in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is very likely to remain north of its normal position during next 7 days. The IMD has said that ‘the eastern end of the monsoon trough passes through Shahjahanpur, Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Bankura and moves south-east to the north-east Bay of Bengal.’

Heat may increase in Delhi

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh today. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Konkan and Goa and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. There is a possibility of lightning and thundershowers at different places in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit Baltistan Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha today. Lightening and thundershowers are also likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today.

How will be the weather in UP
On the other hand, there is little chance of heavy rains in the coming days in Uttar Pradesh. However, there is a possibility of drizzle at some places during this period. Torrential rains had brought relief to the people from the heat in the past. But due to the possibility of less rain, the heat is likely to increase in the coming days. There is a possibility of light rain at some places in UP till 31st August.

On the other hand, talking about Madhya Pradesh, the monsoon is now on break here too. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of heavy rain anywhere for the next few days.
