Ottawa. There are complaints of increasing hate crimes against Indians in Canada these days. In the latest case, the sign board of a park in the Canadian city of Brampton was broken. This park has been named ‘Bhagvad Gita’ Park. India strongly condemned the incident and called it a ‘hate crime’.
The Indian High Commissioner to Canada has demanded an inquiry into the incident. Indian High Commissioner in Ottawa said, ‘We condemn the hate crime at Sri Bhagavad Gita Park in Brampton. We appeal to the Canadian authorities and the police to investigate this matter and take strong action against the culprits.
Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, on the other hand, also confirmed the incident. He also condemned the incident and said, ‘For us this incident is a zero-tolerance incident’.
