colony. It is said that love does not see any border. If he falls in love, he finds his love even across the seven seas. Something similar was seen in Basti district of UP. A young woman living in Japan fell in love with engineer Ajit and crossed seven seas to reach India to get her love. After this, Basti residents Ajit Tripathi and Masako got married and became each other’s life partner according to Hindu rituals.
Ajit Tripathi, a resident of Deidiha village under Duboulia police station area of Basti district, is a software engineer in a private company in Japan. Ajit’s father Rajendra Tripathi works as a farmer. Ajit Tripathi did his BTech in 2012 from Durgapur National Institute of Technology, West Bengal. He got a job as a software engineer in Hikari Tulsen Company in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. In 2020, Ajit met Masako, who worked as an online marketing manager in Tokyo, and the two became friends. And then friendship turned into love. Both vowed to be with each other. With the passage of time, both of them decided to marry each other. The family members of both also supported them.
Masako came to India after crossing seven seas with her mother Shasiko and father Nori Fumi and two friends and then reached a marriage hall in Badeban of Kotwali police station area with Ajit Tripathi’s wedding procession. After this, Masako took seven rounds with Ajit according to Hindu rituals.
Hindu rituals were followed in the marriage. Masako, dressed in Indian clothes and applying henna on her hands, put a garland around Ajit’s neck and amidst the chanting of Vedic chants, considering the fire as a witness, both of them took seven rounds. The discussion of Ajit and Masako’s marriage remains a topic of discussion in the district.
After marriage, Masako reached her in-laws house, where the women of the house and the village welcomed the Japanese daughter-in-law with full tradition.
