Mumbai: A case of rape (Rape case) of a 21 year old girl has come to light in Mumbai. The girl has accused her social media friend of raping her while drunk. Worli Police of South Mumbai is investigating the case. The girl has shared her ‘most painful’ experience on the social media platform Instagram. The incident is said to have happened on January 13. According to the girl’s Instagram post, she met accused Hetik Shah the same night. Before this, the conversation between the two used to happen only on Instagram.
The girl writes, “I am 21 years old and this is my story. I planned a night out with Hetik Shah, whom I met on Instagram. We had some mutual friends. I thought of having fun on the night out, But it turned out to be the worst night of my life. Hetik Shah and I went out to drink and party. Starting at place ‘A’. After meeting some of his friends, we headed to Bastion. After a few tequila shots “I was drunk. I started feeling upset and alone at the party.”
The girl further writes, “However, he forced me to drink even more. After this I completely ‘blacked out’. I do not remember anything after that. Not only this, in anger he also slapped me three times, due to which I got scared. Hetik Shah raped me at his friend’s flat. After this, his friends tried to throw me out from there and also threatened me.”
She writes, “I called my cousin to pick me up. I was so hurt that I couldn’t bring myself to tell my parents about that night. When my family found out, they were shocked. I was in. It was only after he encouraged me that I lodged an FIR this week. The accused apologized for his behavior the next morning. But his apology in the morning meant nothing to me and he has absconded.
