Tourists were attacked by terrorists on 22 April
Let us tell you that on 22 April, 26 people were killed and about 17 people were injured in the terrorist attacks on tourists in the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. This terrorist attack created tension between India and Pakistan. India has stopped the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan and imposed many restrictions.
Tension on LoC, Army giving a befitting reply to the firing
Pakistani soldiers opened unprovoked firing in various sectors on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, to which the Indian Army responded effectively. Unprovoked firing was done with small arms on the LoC in front of Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Nowshera, Sunderbani and Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army responded immediately and effectively to this.
Amid this tension, India has termed Pakistan’s preparations to test surface-to-surface ballistic missiles as a “reckless provocation” and a step that “dangerously escalates” the situation.
US and EU call for de-escalation
India has vowed to severely punish those involved in the incident, citing the attack’s “cross-border connections”. Many global powers, including the US and the EU, have unequivocally condemned the terrorist attack and called on both sides to de-escalate tensions.
