Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar(Pakistan)

Islamabad: Pakistan (Pakistan)   Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar claimed on Thursday that the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan and India spoke on the hotline to discuss the ceasefire. He said that the talks between the DGMOs of the two countries will now be held on May 18. India and Pakistan had agreed on May 10 to stop the military conflict after four days of drone and missile attacks from across the border.

Indian side did not respond
Dar told Parliament that Pakistan’s DGMO Major General Kashif Abdullah and his Indian counterpart Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai spoke on the hotline on Wednesday afternoon. There has been no response from the Indian side on Dar’s claim. An Indian Army official said in New Delhi, “It has been decided to continue the confidence building measures as agreed between the DGMOs of the two countries on May 10, 2025.”

‘Talks will be held again on May 18’

Dar said in Parliament that the two DGMOs will hold talks again on May 18. No details of the talks were shared, except that both sides agreed to respect the ceasefire. According to a report by Geo News, Dar said, “During the DGMO talks (on May 10), the ceasefire was extended till May 12. When DGMO spoke again on May 12, the ceasefire was extended till May 14 and after the talks on May 14, the ceasefire has been extended till May 18.”

Dar had given a threat

Meanwhile, let us also tell you here that recently Ishaq Dar had said in an interview to CNN that if the issue of Indus Water Treaty between India and Pakistan is not resolved, then the ceasefire may be in danger. If this matter is not resolved, then it will be considered an ‘act of war’.
