Malaysia: The mystery of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared in 2014, may be removed. Scientists believe sea creatures (creature ) may lead investigators to the wreckage of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. This incident is one of the deadliest aviation incidents in Malaysia. All 239 people aboard were presumed dead. This plane was going from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. There were 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board.
Apart from a few pieces of the plane that washed up on an island in the Indian Ocean, authorities found no trace of the wreckage. But barnacles found on the piece could be the key to finding out what happened to MH370. Barnacles are marine organisms related to crabs and lobsters.
The research, published in AGU Advances, notes that MH370 may have drifted “far south” from that location. where previous models predicted. The study analyzed barnacles found on flaperons, which were found on a wing fragment of the aircraft. It is believed that this wing is part of the missing aircraft. A year after the plane disappeared, a piece washed up on the French island of Reunion in the Indian Ocean.
As the water temperature changes, the chemistry of the barnacle shells changes every day. Using this information the location of the crustacean can be traced on any given day. Quoting the media, Dr. Gregor Herbert, associate professor at the University of South Florida, said, ‘I started mailing the searchers as soon as I saw barnacles on the wreckage. I have information about the geochemistry of their shell, this can provide help when they reach the debris.
He further said, ‘Sadly, the largest and oldest barnacle has not yet been made available for research.’ He told that nothing can be done until Francis helps. But our research shows what needs to be done and why it should work.
