Kushinagar: 13 people are reported to have died in a well collapsed in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. This case is of Nebua Naurangiya police station area. Most of the dead are women. The incident happened late Wednesday night. Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to make arrangements for the treatment of the injured.

This incident happened when women and girls were standing on the bank of a well during a marriage ceremony. Suddenly the iron net on the well broke and the women fell into it.

After getting information about the incident, the police and administration team reached the spot and took out the bodies of 11 people from the well. The administration has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the kin of the deceased. The police have expressed apprehension that the death toll will increase. So far 11 bodies have reached the mortuary.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over this incident. He has directed the officials to make proper arrangements for the treatment of the injured.
