Weather: The effect of cold wave continues in the valley with the temperature falling below the freezing point at most places in Kashmir on Tuesday. Pahalgam in South Kashmir is currently the coldest location in the valley. Where the minimum temperature was recorded at minus 11 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Gulmarg in North Kashmir was minus 10 degrees Celsius last night. In Kokernag and Qazigund of South Kashmir the temperature was also recorded at minus 2.0 degrees Celsius. The minimum (l Department ) temperature in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, was recorded at minus 2 degrees Celsius.

Snowfall and rain in Himachal, many roads including four national highways closed
The local meteorological department has predicted dry weather in the state for the next six days i.e. till February 12. According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, in the last 36 hours, four centimeters (cm) of snowfall occurred in Khadrala, three cm in Bharmour, two cm in Kufri, 1.3 cm in Gondla and 0.5 cm in Sangla, while Kalpa, Kukumassery, Narkanda and Keylong. There was slight snowfall.
Tourism sector in trouble due to snowfall in Himachal
