In earlier studies, it was found that the health of the people working in any shift from 9 am to 5 pm is badly affected. Defects related to memory have come to the fore for the first time. In this study, 47,811 people working in night shift were tested. They were asked to give a cognitive function test. One in five respondents to the study reported that they had to deal with shift work in their career.

Earlier it was also found that the heart beat of people working in night shift becomes very fast. It affects women more. In this, the risk of coronary heart disease also increases in people working in night shift. After this study, there has also been a decline in the number of night shift workers in Britain. In 2016, 9.5 million people worked in the night shift in Britain, which fell to 8.7 million in 2022.
