Guyana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created history by visiting Guyana ( Guyana) for the first time in 56 years as an Indian Prime Minister. On PM Modi’s arrival in Georgetown on Wednesday, Guyana’s President Mohammed Irfan Ali, Prime Minister Mark Anthony Phillips and dozens of cabinet ministers gave him a grand welcome. PM Modi has also addressed the special session of Guyana’s Parliament. During this, he said that your every effort to strengthen democracy in Guyana is strengthening the development of the world.
India and Guyana’s relationship is full of intimacy
Addressing the special session of Guyana’s Parliament, PM Modi said, “The relationship between India and Guyana is very deep, it is a relationship of soil, sweat and hard work. About 180 years ago an Indian came to the land of Guyana and since then the relationship between India and Guyana has been full of intimacy in both situations of happiness and sorrow.”
PM Modi said in his address, today the strongest mantra for moving forward in front of the world is – Democracy First, Humanity First. The spirit of Democracy First teaches us to take everyone along, take everyone along and participate in everyone’s development. The spirit of Humanity First determines the direction of our decisions. When we make Humanity First the basis of decisions, the results are also in the interest of humanity. PM Modi remembered the old days
In his address, PM Modi said, “24 years ago, as a curious person, I got the opportunity to come to this beautiful country. Usually people like to go to countries where there is pomp and show, but I wanted to know and understand the heritage and history of Guyana. Even today, you will find many people in Guyana who will remember the meeting with me. Many memories are associated with my visit then.”
India and Guyana saw the same struggle
Addressing the special session of the Parliament of Guyana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “In the last 200-250 years, India and Guyana have seen the same slavery, the same struggle. During the freedom struggle, so many people sacrificed their lives here and there. Today both the countries are strengthening democracy in the world. Therefore, in the Parliament of Guyana, I am greeting all of you on behalf of 140 crore people of India.”

In his address, PM Modi said, “I want to thank all of you for giving me the opportunity to come to the historic Parliament of Guyana. Yesterday I was honored with Guyana’s highest national award. I want to thank all of you for this too. I dedicate this award to the people of India.”
