New Delhi. The constituents of the opposition alliance ‘Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance’ will bring a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi government in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. The opposition group will bring this no-confidence motion against the government on the issue of Manipur, whose draft has been signed by 50 MPs.
Confirming this in the conversation, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress (Congress ) MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said, “Opposition parties will bring a no-confidence motion against the government in the Lok Sabha tomorrow (on Wednesday).”
According to the information received, there will be a meeting of the constituents of the opposition alliance India at 10 am on Wednesday in the room of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge regarding this no-confidence motion. After this, Sonia Gandhi will hold a meeting with Congress MPs at 10.30 am. Regarding this, the Congress has also issued a three-line whip for all its MPs of the Lok Sabha, asking them to be present at the parliamentary party office in the Parliament House on Wednesday.
However, the future of this no-confidence motion is already decided, as the numbers are clearly in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition group has less than 150 members in the lower house. Opposition parties argued that it was also a strategy to force Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak in Parliament on the Manipur issue. The government is insisting that only the Union Home Minister will answer the discussion on the situation in Manipur.
In fact, the opposition parties are demanding a detailed discussion on the Manipur violence in Parliament and the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Due to this, since the beginning of the monsoon session on July 20, there has been disruption in both the Houses of the Parliament. Sources associated with the opposition also say that within the Rajya Sabha also, the process of besieging the government on the issue of Manipur will continue.
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had convened the ruling party and the opposition on Tuesday for the purpose of ending the deadlock in Parliament, but no solution could be found in it. In the lower house, both Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah have said that the government is ready to discuss this issue. However, the opposition is adamant on the demand for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement and subsequent discussion in this matter.
On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also wrote a letter to the opposition leaders of both the Houses, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary of the Lok Sabha and Mallikarjun Kharge of the Rajya Sabha, in an effort to end the impasse, appealing for cooperation in discussing the very sensitive issue of Manipur. He said, “The government is ready to discuss the Manipur issue and seeks cooperation from all parties cutting across party lines. I hope that all parties will cooperate in resolving this important issue.
