Balochistan: Baloch people are on the streets in Pakistan-occupied Balochistan and it is their national decision that Balochistan (Balochistan) is not Pakistan and the world cannot remain a silent spectator any longer.Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch on Wednesday declared independence from Pakistan, citing decades of violence, enforced disappearances and human rights violations in the region and in a post on X, he said the people of Balochistan have given their “national decision” and the world should not remain silent anymore. Mir Yar wrote – You will kill, we will leave. We have come out to save the race, come and join us.”
Urged India and the whole world
He urged Indian citizens, especially the media, YouTubers and intellectuals, to avoid calling the Balochs “Pakistan’s own people”. In his tweet, he said- Dear Indian patriotic media, YouTube friends, intellectuals fighting to protect India are suggested not to call Balochs ‘Pakistan’s own people’. We are not Pakistanis, we are Balochistanis. Pakistan’s own people are Punjabis, who have never faced aerial bombings, forced disappearances and genocide.”
Pakistan leave POK for India
Mir Yar Baloch also fully supported India’s stand on Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK). He urged the international community to put pressure on Pakistan to vacate the region. Mir Yar said, “Balochistan fully supports India’s decision to ask Pakistan to vacate POK. The international community should urge Pakistan to immediately leave POK to avoid another humiliation of surrender of its 93,000 military personnel in Dhaka.
India is capable of defeating the Pakistani army and if Pakistan does not pay any attention then only the greedy Pakistani army generals should be held responsible for the bloodshed as Islamabad is using the people of PoK as human shields.” He also called for recognition and support from India and the global community for the independence of Balochistan.
The truth of Balochistan
According to Mir Yar Baloch, the world should not accept Pakistan’s narrative on Balochistan, which, he said, was forcibly occupied with the involvement of foreign powers.
Serious human rights violations have long occurred in Balochistan. These include enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and suppression of dissent. Both Pakistani security forces and armed groups have been accused of abuses. Civilians are often the victims in the ongoing conflict, with little media access or legal accountability. While international concern has grown, meaningful intervention remains lacking.
