arrested in Delhi double murder case(OTT)

New Delhi. Two cousins have been arrested for killing a 73-year-old woman and her daughter and looting their valuables in East Delhi’s Krishna Nagar area. The police gave this information on Sunday. Police said that one of the accused(arrested)  involved in the murder is a singer and he was composing music for a film to be released on the over-the-top (OTT) platform. He told that the accused carried out the murder under “Mission Malamal”.

The purpose of this mission was to become rich quick. According to the police, the accused have been identified as Kishan (28) and his cousin Ankit Kumar Singh (25) and both are residents of Siwan district in Bihar. He told that Kishan was currently living in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar area, while Ankit was composing songs and music for a film coming on the OTT platform. Ankit Singh is a singer, he also has a music band. He used to give singing coaching in New Ashok Nagar area.

Impressed by the web series, the incident was executed
Police said that the bodies of elderly woman Rajrani (73) and her daughter Ginni Kirar (39) were found in a decomposed condition on May 31 in Krishna Nagar area. The police suspect that both of them carried out the incident after being influenced by the web series. However, the police is probing to find out the exact reason. He told that a person called the police at around 8 pm on Wednesday evening after foul smell emanated from a flat on the first floor of a building located in E-block of Krishna Nagar area.

Revealed after checking the footage of more than 200 cameras
After this the police team reached the spot and found the bodies of mother and daughter in the flat. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Rohit Meena said that during the investigation, the police analyzed over 200 cameras of the entry and exit routes of the accused in which the accused were seen entering a house after the murder. Later the police raided there and caught the main accused Kishan. Later, the police also arrested the other accused Ankit Singh.

Accused used to teach computer to Divyang daughter
Police said that two bags, three laptops, two chargers, three iPhones and blood-stained clothes used by the accused in the crime have been recovered. Meena told that Kishan worked as a marketing manager in a company and had applied on a website for teaching tuition. After this, Kishan came in contact with Rajrani, who needed a teacher to teach computer to her differently-abled daughter. The Deputy Commissioner of Police told that since April, Kishan started going to Rajrani’s house to teach tuition and in this way he came close to the family.
The assassination plot was named Mission Malamal
He told that Rajrani wanted to change her house and go to Lajpat Nagar area, for which Kishan assured her help. Meena told that after getting the information related to the account, the accused came to know that there is an amount of more than Rs 50 lakh in the victim’s account. He told that after this the accused conspired to become rich quickly by killing the mother-daughter.

Bank accounts did not have the facility of net banking and ATM
Police said that initially the accused tried to transfer money from the bank accounts of the victims to some other accounts, but they were unable to do so as ‘net banking’ and ATM facilities were not available in those accounts. According to the police, the accused then conspired to rob the victims and on May 17 named their conspiracy as ‘Mission Malamal’ on WhatsApp.
