New Delhi: There seems to be a rift in the India alliance of opposition parties. According to sources, regional parties are angry with Congress (Congress) and these parties are preparing to separate Congress and hold a meeting. It is being told that these parties can take a big decision by holding an online meeting in the next two days. Apart from JDU’s Nitish Kumar, Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray, AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal, TMC’s Mamata Banerjee and NCP’s Sharad Pawar, leaders of other regional parties have talked to each other. Along with this, some other leaders are also being contacted.
It is being told that the regional parties are angry that Congress is silent about the alliance. Mamata Banerjee had already said that the alliance should be finalized by December 31. But he has not had any talks with Congress yet.
In the meeting held in Delhi, it was decided to divide the seats till 31st December, but the report of the Congress Party Committee has not come yet. It is being told that no decision has been taken on the post of coordinator of the alliance, there is resentment among the regional parties regarding this also.
On the other hand, in Mahavikas Aghadi, where the distribution of seats was considered almost certain. It was believed that Shiv Sena would contest on 19 seats, Congress on 13, NCP on 10, Prakash Ambedkar and Raju Shetty on 1 seat each. Apart from this, it was considered certain to discuss the remaining four seats. But now the talks are not moving forward, due to which uneasiness is increasing among the regional parties. Regional parties believe that the more delay there is in finalizing the alliance, the less time they will get to mobilize workers and other resources.
Meanwhile, Congress has called a meeting of its state presidents, general secretaries and legislative party leaders on Thursday. It is believed that this meeting is regarding Rahul Gandhi’s next visit. But there is no clear information on whether alliance with regional parties will also be considered. Congress high command discussed strategy for Lok Sabha elections with leaders of Andhra Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.
