Mumbai. A huge fire has broken out in a junk warehouse located in Mankhurd area of Mumbai, which is called the financial capital. No casualties have been reported so far in this accident that happened on Friday. The fire department official has given this information. The fire brigade reached the spot as soon as the accident was reported. At present, the work of controlling the fire is going on.
A fire brigade official informed that the incident happened late in the night. He said, ‘We got information about the fire at around 3 pm. 150 firefighters along with 12 fire engines, 10 tankers have been deployed to douse the fire. There is no report of any casualty. In October itself, a fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Mumbai. During that time a security personnel was killed.
In September, a massive fire broke out in the Mandla junk market in Mankhurd, an eastern suburb of Bai, in the early hours of Friday. No casualties have been reported during this period. Municipal officials had told that the fire broke out at around 4.15 am in the junk market located on Veer Jijamata Bhosale Marg. A fire brigade official said that the fire engulfed seven to eight shops in the market. Various types of junk including empty chemical drums were kept in this market.
