Gaya: Gaya of Bihar is considered the city of salvation. Here such a unique marriage was witnessed in the ICU ward of a private hospital which was conducted by a mother as her last wish. Shortly after the marriage was over, the mother died in the ICU ward. Such a story has often been seen in films, but people’s eyes were filled with tears after seeing a similar marriage in Bihar’s Gaya. The eyes of all the hospital personnel along with the bride and groom’s side were moist.
When the condition worsened, Poonam Kumari Verma told her family members that Chandni Kumari’s engagement was fixed on December 26 with Sumit Gaurav, the engineer son of Vidyut Kumar Ambedkar, a resident of Salempur village of Gurua block, retired from the Indian Army. When the health of the girl’s mother worsened, she insisted on getting both of them married a day before the scheduled date of engagement. After this, this marriage was done in ICU.
After the permission of the private hospital for this marriage, their relatives along with the bride and groom reached the ICU. The mother kept looking at her daughter and son-in-law with medical equipment on the ICU bed. During this, the Pandit administered the oath of married life to both of them and both garlanded each other.
The sad thing is that just two hours after the marriage, the girl’s mother passed away. Everyone’s eyes became moist after the death of the girl’s mother. Chandni Kumari, who lost her mother just two hours after getting married, told that her mother Poonam Kumari Verma was working as ANM in Magadh Medical College and Hospital and was continuously ill since the Corona period.
The girl’s mother was also suffering from heart disease. The condition of the mother kept getting worse and when the doctors started saying that it was difficult to save her life, then arrangements were made for the marriage in the hospital to fulfill the wish of the mother.
