Badrinath: First snowfall of the season in Badrinath Dham, enthusiasm among devotees despite winter
Badrinath Dham received the first snowfall of the season on Tuesday. Seeing Badripuri wrapped in a white sheet of snow, the devotees who reached the Dham were thrilled. The weather of Badrinath suddenly changed on Tuesday. Earlier, there was heavy snowfall on the peaks of Nar Narayan Parvat and Neelkanth. After that snowfall started in Dham also. After the snowfall, the cold winter started in the Dham. People were seen baking heaters and fireplaces.

Despite the severe winter, there is an influx of devotees in Badrinath. On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, 7248 devotees had darshan of Lord Badri Vishal in the Dham. There is now less than a month left in the journey. A total of 85503 devotees have reached this dham for darshan.

The doors of Kedarnath temple will be closed for winter on 6th November on Bhaiya Dooj. The executive officer of the Uttarakhand Devasthanam Management Board said that on November 6, the Utsav Doli of Lord Kedarnath will depart from Kedar temple at 8:30 am and will rest at Rampur for the night. The next day on 7th November, leaving from Rampur in the morning, the festival will take place at Guptkashi Vishwanath temple via Doli Phata, Narayankoti.
