New Delhi: The plain states of India, especially Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha etc. have now got relief from the cold. The hot sun is now becoming unbearable. Autumn has started, which is giving a hint of summer season. However, the period of snowfall and light rain continues in the hilly areas. According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance is seen in the form of westerly winds over Jammu and Kashmir. The induced cyclonic circulation is over the western parts of Rajasthan. Under its influence, scattered to widespread rain/snow may occur over the western Himalayan region today.

However, during this time there is a possibility of winds blowing at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour. In Delhi-NCR today, the maximum temperature is expected to be 25 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 11 degree Celsius. The movement of clouds will continue. But the chances of rain are negligible. Weather will remain dry. According to IMD, there is a possibility of increase in temperature in many districts of Uttar Pradesh in the coming times. The weather will be clear in most of the districts of UP. There will be light clouds in some places. The Meteorological Department has said that the weather will remain dry in Bihar for the next 4 days. There will be a feeling of cold in the morning and evening.
However, there is a possibility of light drizzle at some places in Northeast India. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light drizzle over the next five days in Assam, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Meghalaya. Day and night temperatures are increasing in Rajasthan. The maximum temperature in many cities of the state has now reached 30 degree Celsius or above. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry in Rajasthan till February 15 and the temperature will increase. IMD has predicted rain and snowfall in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Leh and Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today.
According to Skymet Weather, there will be no major change in the minimum temperature across the country for the next one week. Fog may occur in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, West Assam and Tripura during night or morning. During the next 24 hours, light rain is possible over South Tamil Nadu, South Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and eastern parts of Assam. Light rain and snow may occur at a few places over the hills of Arunachal Pradesh. Snowfall on other high peaks including Chardham in Uttarakhand, while light rain is possible in the valley. Strong dusty westerly winds are possible in western parts of Rajasthan.
