The Meteorological Department has said that due to the effect of Western Disturbance, there will be widespread rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region. There will be light to moderate rain or snowfall in most areas of Jammu-Kashmir, Leh-Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and at some places of Uttarakhand. According to Skymet Weather, ‘Jammu-Kashmir and parts of Himachal Pradesh may receive rain and snowfall on February 9. During the next 24 hours, the intensity of rain and snow may increase and cover Uttarakhand as well. During the next 48 hours, the day and night temperatures of northwest and central India may increase once again. Light rain is possible in parts of Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

In many areas of Central India, there is no significant change in the minimum temperature expected for the next 2 days, after which there will be a gradual increase of 2 to 4 degree Celsius.
