However, despite the win, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur did not appear happy. Team India’s fielding was quite poor during the match, a fact that worried the captain. Speaking after the game, she noted that this is an area where her team needs to improve. She also spoke about the upcoming final match against Australia.  ( Australia ) 

At the post-match presentation ceremony, Harmanpreet Kaur described it as a good win—exactly what they were looking for. Although they had hoped to finish the match sooner, winning with 2-3 overs to spare was still a positive outcome. Following this victory, Team India has reached 8 points with a net run rate of 2.268.

Harmanpreet speaks out on poor fielding
Harmanpreet also addressed the team’s poor fielding performance. She stated that there are several areas requiring improvement before the next match. “We are working very hard on our fielding, but unfortunately, we dropped a few catches again today. The next match is crucial for us, and we will need to deliver our best performance. It is true that the players who dropped catches are among our best fielders, but sometimes match situations arise where things are beyond one’s control. We made some errors today, but I am confident we will give our best in the next match.”

Regarding the match against Australia, Harmanpreet remarked that Australia is one of their favorite opponents. She expressed hope that they would deliver their best performance in that game. We know that in a tournament like this, every match is a do-or-die situation. Sometimes, when things don’t go your way, you have to give your best. Our previous victory against Australia in Navi Mumbai has significantly boosted our confidence. Winning the next match would give the team a huge lift. We will play our best cricket on that day.
