Lucknow: Police and home guards, who reached Thakurganj in Lucknow on Wednesday night on the information of a quarrel, were surrounded by the local people. On protesting, a couple cut off the soldier’s ear with a tooth. The constable sought help from the police station but the police did not reach till late. Somehow the soldier came out of the crowd and reached the police station.
Only after this the police went to the spot. Three accused were arrested in this case. FIR has been registered against 11 people. On the other hand, the local people allege that the constable started abusing both the sides as soon as he reached the spot. Angered by this, the local people surrounded the soldier.
According to ACP Chowk IP Singh, information was received about the assault on UP-112 in Hussainbari on Wednesday night. On this, constable Rahul Srivastava, who was present at a distance, reached the spot along with home guard Nitin Tripathi. Here two sides were seen fighting. Home guard Nitin told that Kamlesh Yadav, his wife had a fight with Shailendra Singh of the other side. Many people were gathered from both the sides.
During this, Kamlesh came out with a sharp weapon, then constable Rahul snatched the weapon from him and threw it. On this Kamlesh and his wife Neetu dropped Rahul on the ground. Then both the sides started beating him. During this, Kamlesh and his wife cut off Rahul’s ear with a tooth. Part of the ear was separated. Rahul woke up in pain.
Seeing Rahul bleeding, the home guard informed Thakurganj police station and sought help. But, no policeman reached the police station for a long time. On this, both the people somehow freed themselves from the crowd and reached the police station. Only after this Rahul was sent to the hospital. Simultaneously, the force reached the spot. Three people were arrested in this case.
Other people involved in the uproar are being identified. ACP IP Singh says that due to the late night incident, when the information was received at the police station, the force was asked to reach immediately. Being at a distance, the policemen took a while to reach.
Local people allege that the constable and the home guard started abusing both the sides as soon as they reached the spot. On this, both the parties left their fight and clashed with the police. Due to this the soldier got angry and started abusing the women. Because of this people attacked him.
