What did Anna Hazare say on Kejriwal( Kejriwal)

Anna Hazare: Social activist Anna Hazare said that Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal  ( Kejriwal) was doing ‘good work’ as the Chief Minister of Delhi, but then he started opening liquor shops and as a result he had to face the anger of the people. Hazare told reporters that it is a matter of pride for a woman to become the new Chief Minister of the national capital. Referring to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, he said that people voted for her because of her ‘pure thoughts and actions’. Hazare’s anti-corruption movement culminated in the birth of Aam Aadmi Party.

What did Anna Hazare say on Kejriwal
Referring to the controversial excise policy of the previous AAP government (now abolished), he told reporters that as the Chief Minister, Kejriwal should have set an example in front of the society, but he went astray. Hazare said, “The previous Chief Minister (Kejriwal) was doing good work and became the Chief Minister of Delhi thrice. I did not say anything (against him) because he was doing good work. But then gradually he started opening liquor shops and issuing licenses. Then I got upset.” Hazare is considered a vocal opponent of consumption or sale of alcohol. Kejriwal was once Hazare’s ally in the anti-corruption movement, but both of them parted ways after the formation of AAP in 2012.

Said this on the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party

Regarding the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi elections, Anna Hazare said recently that Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had to face defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections due to focusing on liquor policy and money and it failed to understand its duty to serve the people selflessly. Taking a dig at Kejriwal, the anti-corruption activist said that the character of the candidate should be clean and he should know the virtues of sacrifice. He said, “I have been saying from the beginning that while contesting elections, the character of the candidate should be clean and unblemished. The candidate should be familiar with the qualities of sacrifice and should have the ability to bear insults. These qualities (in candidates) win the trust of the people, who feel that the candidate will do something for them. I kept saying this, but they (Aam Aadmi Party) could not understand it.”
