Stone pelting took place during the Ghorchadhi of a Dalit policeman in Titota village of Jahangirabad police station area in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. The Dalit groom was thrown down from the horse, while the miscreants pelted stones during the Ghorchadhi of the Dalit policeman, vandalized the DJ, molested the women and beat up the wedding party members. The village’s bullies vandalised the DJ playing at the Dalit policeman’s Ghorchadhi and also vandalised vehicles and did not allow the wedding procession to pass. The DJ operator was seriously injured due to the beating by the bullies and was sent away after first aid.

Complaint lodged

At present, the victim groom’s father has lodged an FIR by giving a written complaint to the police, while the police have registered a case against half a dozen hooligans under serious sections and have arrested five people and sent them to jail. In the entire case, the groom’s father Nandlal Singh said that he had come to Titota village of Jahangirabad police station area with his son’s wedding procession. During this time, people of Thakur community in the village pelted stones on the wedding procession, threw the groom down from the horse and also molested the women and beat up the wedding procession members.

A complaint has been lodged with the police, after which the police took action and arrested five accused, while another accused is still absconding, whom the police is searching for. While giving information about the whole case, Bulandshahr’s SP Rural Rohit Mishra said that during the baraat procession in Jahangirabad police station area, there was an altercation over the loud sound of the DJ and then a fight broke out. After the fight, the police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim groom’s father and taken five people into custody. The whole case is being investigated.
