The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert today, predicting the possibility of heavy rain (rain) in seven states including Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal and Rajasthan. There is a strong possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in some parts of Jodhpur, Ajmer and Bikaner divisions in Rajasthan during the next 24 hours.

The weather bulletin said that Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh are likely to receive moderate rainfall. Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Saurashtra and Kutch will receive sporadic rainfall during the next 7 days. Konkan and Goa and Gujarat region may receive sporadic to widespread rainfall.
There will be no relief from rain in Bihar-Jharkhand yet
The Meteorological Department said that rain will continue in West Bengal till August 18, Bihar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till August 21, Jharkhand till August 20, Odisha till August 20. The rain will continue in Assam and Meghalaya from August 19 to 21. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry till August 19, Kerala on August 19, Andhra Pradesh till August 17 and Karnataka on August 17.
