Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds (40-50 kmph) is likely over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh. Scattered to light to moderate rainfall is likely over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next five days. Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over western Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha on 24, 27 and 28 June, Madhya Pradesh on 24-28 June and Chhattisgarh on 26-28 June.
According to the IMD, cyclone-like conditions have formed at the lower troposphere level over northeast Assam. Strong southerly/southwesterly winds are blowing at the lower tropospheric level from the Bay of Bengal to eastern and northeast India. Under its influence, moderate rains with thunderstorms and lightning are likely over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura during the next five days.
