Leh. One soldier has died and three are missing after a group of Indian Army mountaineers were trapped in an avalanche (Avalanche) on Mount Kun in Ladakh. Officials gave this information on Monday.
According to Indian Army officials, a contingent of around 40 military personnel from the High Altitude Warfare School and Army Adventure Wing of the Indian Army were involved in routine training activities near Mount Kun (Ladakh) on Sunday.
Unfortunately, during their training climb, the group encountered an unexpected avalanche. He said, “Four of our dedicated personnel were trapped below. The body of a person hit by the avalanche has been recovered.”
Despite bad weather and heavy snow accumulation, search and rescue operations are underway to locate and rescue other people trapped under the massive snow, he said.
