United Nations. Pakistan, which shows the mirror to the world on the issue of terrorism, is now troubled by the snakes it has reared. In a big disclosure in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Pakistan has called Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) the biggest threat to it. Pakistan has pleaded before the world that if TTP is not controlled, it will engulf the entire world and it is no longer in its power to stop it alone.
Speaking at the Security Council meeting, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, said that the J&K currently has 6,000 fighters and has also formed many proxy organizations, which are staining the soil of Pakistan with blood. He alleged that terrorists are still being born on the soil of Afghanistan and five terrorist organizations including J&K, ISIL-K (Daesh), Al-Qaeda and Baloch Liberation Front are active there.
The Pakistani ambassador expressed his helplessness and said, our lives have become miserable because of these terrorist organizations. Every day some incident or the other is happening here. We are not able to stop this alone. The countries of the world should control it immediately.
It is worth noting that NJJ was formed in Pakistan in 2007 with the support of Taliban. According to the Global Terror Index, NJJ is the third most dangerous terrorist organization in the world today. According to the report, in 2024 alone, NJJ carried out 482 terrorist incidents in Pakistan, in which 588 people died. NJJ’s havoc continues in 2025 as well and it has killed more than 150 Pakistanis so far. This organization is continuously targeting the Pakistani army through guerrilla warfare.
