New Delhi. There is hope of relief from heat in Delhi-NCR for the next six days. Generally cloudy sky with light rain has been predicted in the capital Delhi on Thursday. Besides, there is a possibility of moderate rain in Delhi on 15th and 16th September. On Thursday, the maximum temperature of the capital is expected to be 35 degrees Celsius (cities) and the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius.
During the last 24 hours in Delhi, the maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday was 36.1 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees more than the average temperature of this season. The weather in the capital has been predicted to remain light rainy till September 19. However, today Thursday it is predicted that the sky will be cloudy and there will be light rain. The Meteorological Department had predicted light rain or drizzle on Wednesday also.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 25.7 degrees Celsius, which is one degree more than the average for this season. According to the data shared by IMD, relative humidity was recorded at 91 percent at 8.30 am and 67 percent at 5.30 pm. According to IMD, light to moderate rain has been predicted in the capital from 15 to 19 September. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate rain in Delhi on 15th and 16th September. At the same time, on September 17, the sky will be generally cloudy and light rain is expected. The next two days i.e. on 18th and 19th September, the sky will be generally cloudy and there is a possibility of rain or storm.
According to CPCB data, during the last 24 hours at 4 pm, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (Delhi AQI) has been recorded at 106 points, which has reached the moderate category. On September 11, AQI was recorded at 43 points, which was the lowest recorded in the year after last 11 months. The main reasons behind this were believed to be light rain for several consecutive days and restrictions on vehicular movement as well as closure of schools, colleges, offices etc. due to the G20 Summit. But the air quality is now gradually deteriorating.
