he United Nations (UN) is celebrating 80 years of its inception in October 2025. The theme of the 80th Celebration of the UN is “Building our Future Together”. To make this event memorable India Post is organizing a Stamp Design competition in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs. Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General of North Gujarat Region, Ahmedabad said that Students belonging to Class 9 to Class 12 standard and Students from Art colleges can Participate in Stamp Design Competition on the theme “UN@80 and India’s leadership in building our future through multilateralism, global leadership and stewardship”. This competition commenced on 1st July 2025 and will end on 15th August 2025. Students can draw their ideas through crayons, pencil colors, water colors, acrylic colors, etc. on A4 Size, 200 GSM, White color art Sheets.
Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, CBSE and State Board affiliated schools, and all Art colleges can participate in the competition. School Education Department, CBSE, UGC and other regulatory bodies have been requested to direct their subordinate institutions to organize the competition in collaboration with the Department of Posts. After the competition, School to conduct a screening of all the entries in order to shortlist a maximum of 05 designs with best ideas. These 05 designs on the topic shall be scanned and uploaded on the MyGov Portal. This portal will be live from 20th July to 15th August 2025. The committee chaired by the Chief Postmaster General of the respective Circle will evaluate the work of the students submitted by the schools and select 05 best designs, which will be sent to the Postal Directorate, Ministry of Communications, New Delhi for final evaluation. National level evaluation would be done jointly by a committee nominated by the Minister of external Affairs and the Department of Posts.
Indian Postal Service Officer Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that Postage Stamps are not just a medium of communication, but they are living symbols depicting the art, culture, history and heritage of the Nation. They preserve big ideas, historical events and social values in small sizes. In such a situation, this competition will provide a unique opportunity to the students to present creative expression in National and Global perspective through paintings. This competition will not only promote their artistic development, but also their understanding of Society and Global issues. This initiative not only provides a prestigious national platform to the students but also gives them an opportunity to think and express themselves creatively as a responsible global citizen.
