New Delhi. The Indian Space Research Organization has created history on Wednesday by successfully landing Chandrayaan-3 on the south polar region of the Moon. This achievement of ISRO is being resounded all over the world, where all the countries of the world including America, Russia have congratulated (Congratulations) India.
Space agencies of America and Europe have termed this achievement of ISRO as an ‘incredible’ moment in space history. At the same time, heads of state like Russian President Vladimir Putin and Vice President of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum have congratulated India. He described this historic moment as proof of India’s impressive progress in the scientific-technological field.
‘Chandrayaan-3 is proof of India’s impressive progress’
The press service of the Russian presidential office ‘Kremlin’ said that Putin congratulated Indian President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon’s South Pole. President Putin said in his message, ‘My heartiest congratulations on the successful landing of India’s Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft on the South Pole of the Moon. This is a testimony to India’s impressive progress in the exploration of outer space and of course in the field of science and engineering.
On the other hand, Sheikh Mohammed congratulated India for becoming the first country to land a spacecraft on the South Pole of the Moon. He said on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), ‘Congratulations to our friends in India for successfully landing on the moon. India continues to create history.
Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda also congratulated his Indian counterpart on the success of Chandrayaan. He said, ‘I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and the ISRO team of India for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the lunar surface.’
‘India has created history’
Apart from this, British Foreign Minister James Cleverly called it a ‘historic moment’. He said, “Congratulations to India for being the first to reach the south pole of the moon.” On the other hand, Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid congratulated India for creating history. He said on ‘X’, ‘India has created history! As a South Asian nation and a neighboring country, we are proud of the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the South Pole of the Moon. It has opened new avenues for new areas of exploration.
India’s third lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 touched the moon’s surface at 6.04 pm on Wednesday evening after a journey of 41 days. With this, India became the first country in the world to land Chandrayaan on the South Pole of the Moon. A few days before this, Russia’s unmanned Luna-25 spacecraft went uncontrolled and fell on the moon.
NASA said – Happy to be a partner in ISRO’s mission
Regarding this, the head of the American space agency NASA, Bill Nelson, wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), ‘Congratulations to ISRO for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the south pole of the Moon! Congratulations to India for becoming the fourth country to successfully soft-land a spacecraft on the Moon. We are happy to be your partner in this mission.
Apart from this, Russia’s government space corporation ‘Roscosmos’ also congratulated India. ‘Roscosmos’ said in a statement, ‘Roscosmos congratulates India on the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft.’ While Joseph Eschbacher, director general of the European Space Agency, wrote on ‘X’, ‘Incredible! Congratulations to ISRO and all the people of India!!’ He wrote, ‘India performed the first soft landing on another celestial body, demonstrating new technologies. Well done, I am totally impressed.
The Chandrayaan-3 mission cost Rs 600 crore and took off on July 14 on a 41-day journey to reach the Moon’s south pole. It was launched through the launch vehicle ‘Launch Vehicle Mark-III (LVM-III) rocket.
