Johannesburg. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that today India is the fastest growing major economy ( country) in the world and soon India will become a $5 trillion economy. He was speaking at the BRICS Business Forum Leaders’ Dialogue in Johannesburg, South Africa.
PM Modi said, ‘Even at present, the world is struggling with economic challenges amidst the Kovid epidemic, tensions and controversies. At such a time the BRICS countries once again have an important role to play. Despite the upheavals at the global level, India today is the fastest growing economy in the world. Soon India will become a 5 trillion dollar economy.
He said that in the coming days, India will be the growth engine of the world and this is because India converted the times of calamity and difficulties into opportunities for economic reform. PM Modi further told that today direct benefits are transferred to crores of people in India with one click, this has increased transparency in service delivery.
Addressing the BRICS Business Forum, PM Modi said that in the last 9 years the income of the people has increased almost three times. Along with this, he told that there has been a strong participation of women in the economic development of India.
At the BRICS summit, PM Narendra Modi said, ‘India has the world’s third largest startup ecosystem; There are more than 100 unicorns in the country. He said that the ease of doing business in the country has improved due to the corrective steps taken.
At the beginning of the address, PM Modi congratulated and congratulated the 10th anniversary of the BRICS Business Council and said that in the last 10 years, the BRICS Business Council has played a very important role in increasing our economic cooperation.
