Rome. These days Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Rome, the capital of Italy, to participate in the G-20 summit. This Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the sidelines of the G-20 summit. According to official information, detailed talks were held between PM Modi and Angela Merkel on how to strengthen bilateral relations. During this, both the leaders committed to maintain close strategic partnership.
Modi was accompanied by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla and other officials also attended the meeting with Merkel. After the meeting of the two leaders, the Ministry of External Affairs tweeted, “Prime Minister Modi and Chancellor Merkel met on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rome. Indo-German relations were discussed in detail. The strong friendship between the two countries will further strengthen the good works for our planet. During this, many important issues including corona vaccination, corona virus, terrorism were discussed.
In another tweet, the ministry said, “Once again we reiterate our commitment to maintain close partnership with Germany.” He held talks with many world leaders including President Emmanuel Macron of Canada, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Sen Loong and President of South Korea Moon Jae-in.
Earlier, India’s Sherpa and Union Minister Piyush Goyal said in a conversation with the media at Rome’s Roma Convention Center that Prime Minister Modi told the whole world that next year our target is to make 500 crore vaccines.
India has given affordable vaccines to the world, low-income countries will also be able to use it. He said the world’s concerns on climate change were highlighted. The responsibility that the developed countries should have in this was brought to the fore, they accepted their shortcomings.
