New Delhi. At present, there is a cyclone situation in the Arabian Sea, due to which the Meteorological Department has issued a warning. The cyclone (Cyclonic) named ‘Biparjoy’ is slowly moving towards India. Four states can come under its grip. According to the Meteorological Department, the biggest threat is to Gujarat. It is feared that it may affect Maharashtra, Karnataka and Goa as well. It is being told that in the next 48 hours, this cyclone can take a more severe form. 15 teams of National Disaster Management have been deployed in Gujarat. Along with this, 11 teams of State Disaster Management have also been put on alert.
Fishermen have been asked to return from the deep sea after the Meteorological Department’s warning. This cyclone is slowly moving north and northwest from the east-central Arabian Sea. Due to this, there is a possibility of sprinkling with light rain and thunder in the coastal areas. At present, this storm is 930 km south-west of Porbandar. According to the Meteorological Department, due to this storm, winds can blow at a speed of 135 to 145 kilometers per hour. Which can have an effect in the coastal areas.
Maximum impact on 10, 11 and 12 June
Manorama Mohante, director of the Science Center of the Meteorological Department in Ahmedabad, told Hindustan, “Due to this cyclone, the wind speed can run at a speed of 45 to 55 knots per hour on June 10, 11 and 12. The wind speed can also go up to 65 knots. Due to the cyclone, there may be light rain in the coastal areas along with South Gujarat and Saurashtra. All the ports have been informed about this. They have been asked to issue warning messages.”
