Along with this, heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in isolated parts of Northeast Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Telangana. IMD has also issued Orange Alert regarding heatwave in Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim. According to IMD, today over southeast and adjoining southwest Arabian Sea, along and off Kerala-Karnataka-Goa coasts, central parts of Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep-Maldives, Andaman Sea, south and east-central Bay of Bengal There is a possibility of stormy weather (wind speed 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph). Strong wind (speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph) very likely over Northeast Arabian Sea, along and off North Gujarat Coast, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Comorin area. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into these areas.
