Postmortem of all the seven people including the pilot who died in the helicopter crash of Aryan Company while returning from Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi was done in the district hospital. After which the relatives took the bodies with them for the last rites. To ensure that the relatives do not face any problem during the postmortem, many officials including the Chief Medical Officer, SDM Sadar and Kotwali Inspector were present in the district hospital.
After the helicopter crash near Gauri Khark, all the bodies of the passengers were brought to the district hospital by ambulance, where the team of doctors conducted the post-mortem after the pilot and other bodies were identified by their family members. The body of the helicopter pilot, Lieutenant Colonel Rajveer Singh Chauhan, was identified by the Apple watch on his hand. He was identified by his brother Chandraveer Chauhan.
While 66-year-old Vinod Devi and 19-year-old Tusti Singh of Bijnor, UP were identified by their family members. 46-year-old Vikram Singh of Ransi Ukhimath Rudraprayag was identified by the cloth belt tied around his waist, there was no problem in identifying him. Here, 41-year-old Rajkumar Suresh Jaiswal and his wife 35-year-old Shraddha Rajkumar Jaiswal of Nandipera Road Sai Mandir Maharashtra were identified by the neck chain. While the deceased girl was identified earlier.
SDM Sadar Ashish Chandra Ghildiyal, posted by the administration to help the family members in the district hospital, said that all the bodies have been identified by the family members. After the post-mortem, all the bodies have been taken away by the family members. Kotwali Inspector Manoj Negi said that since the family members identified the bodies, there was no need to conduct DNA tests.
