Singapore: Cricket is very popular in India and here cricket is considered a religion. Cricket has also been included in the Olympics and is slowly spreading its wings all over the world. Now ICC ( ICC) has held its annual meeting in Singapore, in which many important decisions have been taken. In the meeting ICC has decided to expand the cricket family. ICC has included two countries in the form of Timor Leste Cricket Federation and Zambia Cricket Association as associate members.
Total number of countries has become 110
With the addition of two new associate member countries of ICC, the total number of members has become 110. At the same time, USA Cricket has been given three additional months to make extensive administrative reforms, which also includes conducting free and fair elections within this period.
Zambia became the 22nd African country to join the ICC
Zambia has become the 22nd African country to join the ICC. On the other hand, Timor-Leste has become the 10th East Asia Pacific Associate country. This is the first country after the Philippines joined 22 years ago. Now with the joining of these two new countries, cricket will become more popular, which will increase its fans.
England gets hosting of the next three WTC finals
In the meeting held in Singapore, the ICC has decided that England will host the finals of the next three World Test Championships. ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gold said that we are very happy that England and Wales have been selected to host the next three WTC finals.
