Raipur. The new education session is going to start in Chhattisgarh from June 16, 2025. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has appealed to all the public representatives of the state to actively participate in the school admission festival and ensure that no child is deprived of school.
Through a letter, the Chief Minister has told the public representatives that making the state 100% literate is a big challenge, but this goal can be achieved through collective efforts. He has urged all sections to cooperate in this campaign and ensure timely enrollment of children in schools.
He also underlined that the Right to Education Act is in force in the state and under the National Education Policy 2020, a target has been set to gradually reduce the number of school dropouts to zero by class 12. For this, it is necessary to identify and remove educational barriers, for which the participation of all stakeholders of the society is necessary.
Chief Minister Sai informed that the state government is starting the Mukhyamantri Shiksha Quality Abhiyan. Its objective is to improve the quality of education in government schools. Along with this, the deployment of teachers has also been rationalized so that teacherless and single teacher schools can get teachers on priority basis.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister said that the government has included the development of infrastructure and basic facilities in the education sector among its top priorities. He called upon the public representatives to personally participate in the Shala Pravesh Utsav in their respective areas and ensure that every child reaches school.
The Chief Minister also said that everyone will have to work together with the spirit of ‘We have built it, we will improve it’. He expressed confidence that all the public representatives will lead this campaign and contribute to making Chhattisgarh an educated, empowered and self-reliant state.
This letter of the Chief Minister is being considered as the beginning of a mass movement regarding education in the state. This will not only increase the access of children to schools, but will also give a new dimension to the quality of education and social participation. The government hopes that with this initiative, Chhattisgarh will set a new example in the field of education and social and economic empowerment will gain momentum through education.
