Srinagar: Devotees from not only the country but also abroad are arriving for the annual Amarnath (Amarnath) Yatra held in the South Kashmir Himalayan region. One such group of nine young devotees from 6 countries of the world has presented a beautiful example of global faith and spiritual harmony by having darshan of Baba Barfani in the holy cave temple. These devotees also include devotees from America, Canada and Germany, who have traveled through the Baltal route. They described the pilgrimage as a very special experience and also appreciated the hospitality received in the valley.
Leach was preparing for the journey for 4-5 years
After visiting Baba Barfani in the cave temple situated at an altitude of 3,880 meters, Canadian citizen Ross Norman Leach said, “I have been experiencing the beautiful geology and nature in Kashmir and the immense energy of the holy cave.” Leach said that the group had been preparing for this journey for the last 4-5 years and this experience was very wonderful.
‘Tears were flowing from my eyes in the cave’
He said about the experience of the journey, “Tears were flowing from my eyes in the cave and a deep silence prevailed inside. The whole world is connected to these energies. It is very special to meet Mahadev here in deep silence and consciousness.”
‘If you get a chance, do come’
However, Leach described the pilgrimage as a very special experience and said that he cannot advise many people to go on it. He said, “The route of the journey is very challenging, you have to be prepared for it, but it is very worthwhile. If you get a chance, if you feel like coming here, then definitely come. This is a powerful place. Leach said the hospitality of the people of Kashmir and the arrangements for the visit have been wonderful.
Foreign pilgrims eager to come again
Another foreign pilgrim who came on the Amarnath Yatra said that his experience was wonderful. He said, “We are eager to come here again. It was wonderful and we felt very good that we were taken care of, we got support and we felt very safe.”
