Tuberculosis is the major cause of infertility for women

Tuberculosis: Tuberculosis (tuberculosis) is not only fatal, but has also emerged as a major cause of infertility for women. The bacteria of this disease are also depriving women of the happiness of motherhood.

Women consider pelvic pain as normal, but in reality it can also be due to TB. This has been disclosed in the study of the Department of Chest-Gynae of GSVM Medical College. This time on World TB Day on Thursday, the theme Invest to and TB save life has been kept.

The doctors made three groups of women in the study in the age group of 20-30, 31-40 and above 40 years. Of these 70 married and 20 unmarried women were included. Of these, 51 percent were rural and 49 percent were from urban areas. All the women were having pelvic pain but they were avoiding it as normal. When the pain started increasing, she went to the experts for treatment.

All were subjected to histopathological examination as well as the CBNOT test. When some blood tests were done, it was found that most have been found to have genital TB. Infertility due to TB was reported in 64.3% of women. The fallopin tubes were also found to be irregular. Gynecological diseases were found in up to 68 percent.

Dr. Sudhir Choudhary, (Former Professor Chest Department GSVM) says that people usually associate TB with the lungs, but the study is showing that Genital TB is creating a barrier in giving motherhood to women. Avoiding this type of pelvic pain can be dangerous as having infertility once means having multiple gynecological diseases. In such a situation, the problems increase in the future as well and have to be treated for a long time.

On the other hand, Dr. Anand Kumar, (Head Chest Department GSVM) advises that women will have to be alert with the help of the study. Pelvic pain is not to be ignored. There have been cases of deprivation of maternal happiness due to this type of TB in women of every category.
