Ghaziabad: 4 flats caught fire due to generator explosion in a society in Ghaziabad. A big accident was averted in this society named Ahinsakhand-2. The cause of the fire   (fire) is said to be a blast in the generator kept in the society. Local people told that first the generator caught fire and then it exploded. Due to the fire in the generator, it became a bomb. The fire was so fierce that it engulfed even the transformer of the other society. 5 fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and after a lot of effort the fire was controlled.

Chief Fire Officer of the Fire Department in Ghaziabad, Rahul Pal, said that Fire Station Vaishali received information that there is a fire in Arihant Harmony Society in Ahinsakhand-2 of Police Station Indirapuram. Immediately five fire tankers were sent to the spot along with firefighters. On reaching the spot, the firefighters saw that the generator kept in the society was on fire. After this, there was a blast in it. Due to which four flats in front of the generator caught fire.

He said that in a hurry, the firefighters tried to control the fire by spreading the hose line from two sides and also evacuated all the people living in the flats behind. The fire was so fierce that it engulfed even the generator of the neighboring society. After a lot of hard work, five fire engines controlled the fire after a long time. The reason for the fire in the generator is being investigated.
