Patna: Following the results of the Bihar Assembly elections, the process of forming a new government has accelerated. The outgoing cabinet will hold its final meeting   ( meeting. )   on Monday, authorizing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to take necessary steps in this direction.

A resolution to dissolve the Assembly will be passed.
According to a notification from the Cabinet Secretariat Department, the Council of Ministers will meet on Monday. A senior JDU leader says that resolutions will be passed at this meeting to dissolve the outgoing Assembly and authorize Nitish Kumar to meet the Governor. Bihar Chief Electoral Officer Vinod Singh Gunjyal met Governor Arif Mohammad Khan with the list of elected members in the Assembly elections.

NDA wins over 200 seats
The election results were declared on Friday. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won over 200 seats in the 243-member Assembly. The BJP won the highest number of seats, 89, followed by the JDU with 85. Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) won 19, the Hindutva Awam Morcha Secular (HAM) with 5, and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) with 4.

JDU to form new government in a few days
Meanwhile, JDU Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha, who returned from Delhi after holding talks with the BJP’s top leadership regarding the formation of a new government in the state, met with the Chief Minister in Patna. He later told reporters, “The new government will be formed in a few days. You will receive detailed information in due course. We are committed to fulfilling all the promises made in the NDA manifesto.”

PM Modi to attend the swearing-in ceremony
A JDU leader, speaking on condition of anonymity, said, “It is almost certain that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony. It will likely be a grand ceremony at the historic Gandhi Maidan, where a large number of people are expected to attend.”

JDU expects more ministers in the new cabinet
The JDU leader also said, “We are expecting more representation in the new cabinet than last time. In the previous government, our party had only 12 ministers. Our seats have increased significantly in this election, so we want more cabinet positions.” He also acknowledged that meeting the demands of various alliance partners will be a challenging task, referring to the LJP (Ram Vilas) and the RLM.
