Sharjah: Before Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan team is playing a tri-series with UAE and Afghanistan on the ground of Sharjah to test its preparations. In the first match of this series, Pakistan team defeated Afghanistan by 39 runs. On 30 August, in the second match of the tri-series, Pakistan team faced host UAE  (UAE )   in which better performance was expected from their batsmen. Batting first in this match, Pakistan team managed to cross the 200 mark but they lost all their 10 wickets.

For the first time, the innings of the Pakistani team was limited against the UAE team. In the match between Pakistan and UAE being played at the Sharjah ground, the Pakistani team decided to bat first after winning the toss, in which their start was not good and they lost the first wicket in the form of Sahibzada Farhan at the score of 9. After this, Fakhar Zaman also got out after scoring only 6 runs. Sam Ayub played an innings of 69 runs from the Pakistani team, while Hasan Nawaz’s innings of 56 runs was seen from the bat. Apart from this, 7 batsmen could not even cross the double digit mark. The Pakistani team was playing against the UAE team for the second time in T20 International, in which it was all out in front of the team ranked 46th in the ICC T20 team rankings.

These 2 bowlers of UAE showed amazing performance. In the tri-series match against Pakistan, Junaid Siddiqui and Sagir Khan showed amazing performance with the ball in bowling for the UAE team, in which both of them together took 3-3 wickets. Apart from this, Haider Ali also managed to take 2 wickets. In the innings of the Pakistani team, 2 players returned to the pavilion after being run out. The collapse of the Pakistani team against the UAE team before the Asia Cup definitely raises big questions about their preparations.
