Bhatpara (Kolkata). Bablu Mukherjee, a resident of Bhatpara in West Bengal, was sleeping at home. Just then, he was woken up by a pungent smell ( smell) coming from a mysterious hole in his house. They didn’t understand where this foul smell was coming from. To check the danger of fire, he put a stick in the hole, then it caught fire, which kept burning for about 2 hours. But, finally he extinguished the fire with sand.
Since then panic spread among the local people of Avantipur Shalbagan as the source or cause of the fire was unknown. Mukherjee told that, ‘I woke up to a strange smell and came out of the room to see where it was coming from. The smell of rotten water gas was coming from near the tube well. Then I checked the gas with a matchstick and suddenly a fire broke out. However, I extinguished the fire using sand. As soon as the news of the incident spread, the local people started gathering to see the incident.
On the spot, local public representative Tapas Rai also reached the spot and the fire department was informed. The fire department is investigating the mysterious fire, but it is believed that Mukherjee’s house was built on top of a tube well and gas was coming out of it. The administration says that the matter is being investigated and it will soon be ascertained whether gas is coming out of that hole or not. Along with the whole family, the people of the village are also shocked.
