Asia Cup: Before the big match against Pakistan, the batsmen of the Indian cricket team are busy finding the answer to one of its most dangerous fast bowlers,(special)  left hand pacer Shaheen Afridi. The teams of India and Pakistan will clash in the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four match on Sunday (September 10). This match will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Both the teams have clashed once in the current tournament. However, no result could be obtained from that match. The fifth match of Asia Cup 2023 had to be canceled due to rain.

Pakistan’s young fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is currently one of the most dangerous fast bowlers in the world. Afridi presented an example of his brilliant bowling in the Asia Cup 2023 match against India on 2 September. He had devastated the Indian top order. Shaheen took a total of 4 wickets including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. Indian batsmen are now preparing under a special plan to deal with Afridi’s balls.

Before the Super Four match against Pakistan, Indian batsmen are practicing with special drills in the nets. Veteran batsmen like captain Rohit Sharma to Virat Kohli were seen in the nets throwing down from the left angle.
Players like KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill, who recently joined Team India after recovering from injury, were also seen training in a special way. During practice, the video analyst kept a close eye on the practice of these batsmen.
In the practice of Team India, attention was also paid to the stance and footwork of the batsmen. The first match between India vs Pakistan was washed out due to rain. In that match, the pace battery of Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah along with Shaheen troubled the Indian batsmen a lot. All 10 wickets of Team India went to the account of Pakistani fast bowlers.
Shaheen Afridi’s record against India has been excellent. He has taken 7 wickets in 4 matches. Apart from Shaheen, Haris and Naseem Shah had taken three wickets each in that match.
The shadow of rain is looming over the Super Four match between India and Pakistan. However, the Asian Cricket Council has kept a reserve day for this much-awaited match. If this match cannot be played on Sunday due to rain, then it will be played on Monday.
Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has also joined Team India in Sri Lanka for the Super Four. Bumrah had returned to Mumbai due to the birth of his first child. Mohammed Shami was given a chance in his place in the playing eleven.
