Rohit Sharma appeared unhappy(Rohit Sharma)

New Delhi. By defeating Nepal by 10 wickets, India secured a place in the Super-4 round of Asia Cup. This match was also hampered by rain and India later got the target of 145 runs in 23 overs, which the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill achieved without losing any wicket with 17 balls remaining. With this, after Pakistan, India reached Super-4 from Group-A. However, even after this victory, Rohit Sharma  (Rohit Sharma) appeared unhappy with the team’s performance and listed two major shortcomings.

In the match against Nepal, India dropped three catches in the first few overs. Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan dropped very easy catches and after the match, Rohit expressed his anger over the poor fielding of Team India.

Rohit said, “We will try to perform better in Super-4. The way Hardik and Ishan Kishan batted after the fall of 4 wickets in the first match against Pakistan was brilliant. Our bowling was okay in today’s match but we could have done better. But the fielding was bad and with this we cannot play the World Cup or even the Asia Cup. This cannot be accepted. We have to improve it.”
Not very happy with my innings: Rohit
When Rohit was asked whether he was happy with his innings, he said that no, initially I was a little nervous. Once my eyes were set, I wanted to bat till the end. Regarding the flick sweep, he said that I had not played this shot intentionally. I wanted to play the ball over short fine leg but the ball went a little away after coming on the bat.
‘There is still a lot of work left to do’
On the question related to the World Cup team, he said, “When we came here, we knew who were going to be our 15 players for the World Cup? The Asia Cup was not going to give us a better picture as we had only two matches in the group stage. But luckily we got a chance to bat and bowl against Nepal in the first match. There is still a lot of work left to do. A lot of players are coming back from injury and they need time to get back into shape.”
