IPL: Royal Challengers Bangalore won the IPL trophy for the first time, ending the 18-year-long wait. RCB (RCB) won the title by defeating Punjab Kings in the final of IPL 2025. In the thrilling final match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, RCB defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs and achieved the distinction of becoming the new champion. Batting first in the title match, RCB scored 190 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs thanks to the brilliant performance of their top order. The rest of the batsmen, including Virat Kohli, played useful innings at crucial moments and took the team to a respectable score.

The team of Punjab Kings, who came out to chase the target, also remained in the match, but the RCB bowlers made a great comeback in the last overs by building pressure. As a result, Punjab’s team could only score 184 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs and Bangalore registered this historic victory by 6 runs. After 18 years of hard work, many ups and downs and repeatedly missing out on the title, Kohli finally won the IPL trophy. By becoming the champion, RCB not only captured the glittering trophy but also pocketed Rs 20 crore as the winning team.
