Priyanka Gandhi and Satishchandra Mishra under house arrest


Lucknow. During the protest against the visit of Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni in Lakhimpur Kheri, the politics of UP has heated up due to the ruckus. The police-administration is on alert after the incident. Leader of any party is being stopped from going to Lakhimpur. In this sequence, Congress general secretary and UP in-charge Priyanka Gandhi has been placed under house arrest by the police by stopping her from going to Lakhimpur in Lucknow. Priyanka Gandhi has been kept in Kaul House, Lucknow. Apart from them, BSP leader Satish Chandra Mishra has also been stopped by the police from going to Lakhimpur. He has also been placed under house arrest

Here, Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni’s son Ashish Mishra denied the allegations against him in a conversation with the media regarding the incident. The Union Minister’s son is accused of crushing the protesting farmers with his car, in which 3 people died. Ashish Mishra said that he was in Banwaripur from 9 am today. Stayed there till the end of the program. Ashish denied the allegations against him and said that there should be a judicial inquiry into this incident.

All the allegations against me are baseless, so I demand a judicial inquiry into the incident. All the culprits will come out from the investigation. Ashish Mishra said that his 3 vehicles had gone to bring the Deputy CM of the state. On the way some unruly elements attacked the vehicles. Ashish Mishra alleges that the miscreants pelted stones on these vehicles and set them on fire. Mishra also alleged that 3-4 of his supporters were killed in the attack by miscreants.

However, the demonstration of farmers against the Union Minister in Lakhimpur Kheri and the subsequent uproar has brought a boil in the ongoing electoral politics in UP. Leaders of opposition parties and farmer organizations are raising questions regarding this matter. Taking immediate cognizance of the incident, the government has made tight security arrangements in Lakhimpur Kheri. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is monitoring the entire matter.
