Mohammad Siraj gave success in the last over of India

New Delhi. The first match of the three-match series between India and New Zealand was very interesting. First team India’s batsman Shubman Gill scored a double century and took the team’s score to 349 runs for 8 wickets. On behalf of the Kiwi team, Michael Bracewell played a stormy century, but he could not reach the victory of the team. India won the match by 12 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

Bracewell and Santner created havoc

The Indian team took the first 6 wickets easily and pushed the New Zealand team on the backfoot. At 131 runs, more than half of the team’s batters had returned and the target was 350 runs. Michael Bracewell’s batting skills can be seen from here. He scored a half century with 8 fours and 1 six on 31 balls and he scored a century with the help of a total of 11 fours and 6 sixes on 57 balls. Mitchell Santner scored a fifty off 38 balls and brought the match to a close.

Here Mohammad Siraj once again came forward as a hero. First, Santner was caught by Kuldeep Yadav on 57 runs and then clean bowled by Henry Sipley. Shardul Thakur, who turned the match around and came to bowl the last over, kept his composure after hitting a six on the first ball and dismissed Bracebell, who scored 140 runs, to give India victory.
