According to BCCI, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy due to a lower back injury. The selection committee has included Harshit Rana in the team in place of Bumrah. This will be the second ICC tournament in which Bumrah will not be able to play due to injury. Earlier, he was also out of the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia due to a back injury, due to which he eventually had to undergo surgery.

The ICC had set February 11 as the deadline for all eight teams to submit their final 15 players for the Champions Trophy. After this, the teams will be required to get approval from the technical committee of the tournament for any change.
